Pest News

Shortly after the COVID-19 pandemic, many residences in all counties of Long Island and in the boroughs of New York have reported, and continue to report an increase of rodent activity. Many pest control companies confirm this report because they're getting growing requests for residential rodent treatment.

This trend maybe due to the fact that many businesses such as restaurants, deli's and bars have closed, or not doing as much business as before the pandemic resulting in less garbage and food waste. This now forces mice and rats to expand their feeding territory. And with more people working from home, cooking outdoors for summer BBQ's, and more residential garbage, this has attracted rodents.

It's important more so now then ever before to practice good sanitation and maintenance of our homes - inside and outside to make it unattractive to these disease carrying pests.
